TAG Gallery Presents Julienne Johnson’s “Touch Me Touch You”

July 20, 2012 by Megan Koester in Upcoming Events with 0 Comments

Contemporary artist Julienne Johnson’s latest exhibit, “Touch Me, Touch You,” is the latest collection featured at Santa Monica’s TAG Gallery. The exhibit, which runs July 17th through August 11th, is inspired by the artist’s experiences with Middle Eastern culture, specifically the unsettling feelings she experienced as an artist visting Doha, Qatar.

Johnson’s work, a collection of pigment transfers, collage and miscellaneous materials act as a diary of sorts – through her art, she attempts to both remember the poignancy of her experiences and reach out as a communicator.

A Q&A with the artist will be taking place on Wednesday, July 25th, at 7pm.
